Systems/platform engineer in Christchurch, NZ. Spent most of my career around infrastructure, networking, cloud, Kubernetes and streaming media; these days I work at a startup and consult on the side.
I like building things, reverse engineering things, and occasionally breaking things to understand them. Current distractions include local LLMs, security/CTF problems, electronics, woodworking, and making an old turbo MX-5 go sideways.
Generally interested in technology, incentives, systems, and why apparently sensible people and organisations produce bizarre outcomes.
