At what point should software engineers unionize?
With AI triggering layoffs, seems now is better than later. Curious what the downsides would be if we collectively rejected the use of AI or demanded a 3-4 day work week due to efficiency gains.
As an aside, I was surprised there isn’t a SaaS tool to organize and execute this using your corporate email
Do we have examples of unions in high-paying jobs? Even if so, with the market cooling off it would be a hard sell
The most relevant are dockworkers, especially since they recently negotiated against AI and automation. They are also highly paid
